Names: Jewel, Crowpaw, Crowsong
Age: 34 moons
Gender: She-cat
Appearance: Crowsong is a pitch-black cat with mystical green eyes. She has a pure white stripe of fur running down her chest, and she has white on her paws. Crowsong is small, and her back left leg is crippled from an accident. Her tail is really long, and her ears almost always lay flat on her head. One of the first things cats usually notice about her is the scar on her nose, and her raspy voice.
Personality: Crowsong is usually grumpy and cross around the stuck-up warriors, but otherwise, she is sweet-natured and kind. Some kits are scared of her because of her raspy voice, but they like her when they get to know her. She strives to be the best healer she can be, so nothing happens to other cats like the horrible thing that happened to her. She is respectful to senior warriors, the deputy, and the leader. Crowsong is very, very, stern with the cats she heals, because she wants them to heal properly. Cats can often hear her shouting, "Don't you dare move that leg, Harepaw, or I'll make you eat moss for the rest of this moon!" or, "Galeclaw, if you ask me if you can get up and hunt one more time, I'll confine you in camp for the next twenty moons! The answer is NO!" The only cats she doesn't yell at are the queens.
History: Jewel sniffed the ground, looking for her mousy toy. She had lost it the other day while playing with the twoleg kits, and it was her favorite. "I think this is it!" Nemo, Jewel's brother, squeaked. He was holding a furry little gray mouse in his mouth. Jewel ran over and sniffed it. "Nemo, you're the greatest!" she cried. "Thanks!" She was running back to the twoleg nest when she bumped into Fawn, her mother. "Watch where you're going, Jewel." her mother purred. Just then, she saw the twoleg kit's father, and started to get curious. "Mama," Jewel asked. "Where's Dad?" Fawn shifted her paws. "I... don't know." Fawn replied. "Where did he come from?" Jewel questioned further. "Sit down, Jewel, and I'll tell you." So she sat. "A long time ago, when I was a kit, I met a tom from no twoleg nest I knew of. Him and I, we became fast friends. Best friends. We met each other every day." she sighed. "I really loved him. We then became mates and had you two. But then, one day... he left. Vanished into thin air. I don't know where he went, though I'd love to see him again... Oh, Quail..." Jewel left her mother to be alone.
Quail must be father's name. Jewel thought. Fawn clearly didn't see her leave. Her eyes were staring up at something no other cat could see. Then she decided.
I am going to find Quail. The next morning, she left. Jewel had her mind set on finding her father, and that was what she would do. her earliest obstacle was the fence that surrounded her yard. It was made out of barbed wire. Jewel quickly found an exit, a small hold squeezing under the fence and into the outside world.
I'll have to be careful not to get caught on the fence. She thought. She carefully crawled under the fence, but accidentally cut her nose. "Ouch!" she mewled, but kept going. Soon she was out. she ventured for what seemed like moons that night, but it had only been hours since she had left the nest. That's when it happened. a horrible twoleg started screaming at Jewel and kicking her! Jewel mewled in alarm and tried to scamper away, but the twoleg followed. Suddenly, a twoleg got out a big stick. He pulled a trigger, and the sound of a million cats jumping on twigs all at the same time filled the air. Jewel felt a stinging pain in her back left leg. Jewel limped away to a small clearing, and passed out.
When Jewel woke up, she was in a strange den. Suddenly, a cat she had never met mewed, "How are you feeling?" "F-fine." Jewel stammered. "W-who are y-you?" "I'm Frostleaf, a medicine cat. I help cats heal." she answered. "What's your name?" "I'm Jewel." Jewel mewed. "Where am I?" "You're in RainbowClan territory. We are wild cats. We hunt for our own food, and fight battles with the other Clans. Are you a kittypet?" Frostleaf answered. "What's a kittypet?" Jewel asked. "A house cat." Frostleaf mewed. "Oh, then yes." Jewel meowed. "Jewel," Frostleaf said slowly. "How would you like to join RainbowClan?"
I love being outside, and I loved eating mice and squirrels. And being out here might help me to find Quail! she thought. "Okay!" Jewel mewed excitedly. Jewel's life as a Clan cat had begun.
Jewel met with the leader the next moon, when her leg was better. It wasn't entirely better, and she walked with a very noticeable limp; though then again, her leg would never be entirely better. Jewel padded into Stonedream's den. The leader was a tall, looming figure, and it made Jewel feel insecure. "Welcome, Jewel." Stonedream's low mew filled the cavern. "I hear you want to join the Clan." "Yes, I do, sir." Jewel mewed. "Well, you can't be a warrior." he said. "Your leg's useless." Frostleaf spoke up. "What if... she became a medicine cat?" she asked. Stonedream looked at the young cat with uncertainty, and then finally gave in. "Okay." he mewed. "Frostleaf, I trust you to train her. The ceremony will be tonight."
"Jewel has reached her sixth moon and is ready to become an apprentice." Stonedream's voice boomed throughout the clearing. "From now on you will be known as Crowpaw. Frostleaf, you are ready for your first apprentice. The Clan trusts that you will pass all of your healing and kindness to Crowpaw." "Crowpaw! Crowpaw!" the cats chanted, a little uneasily. They were still questioning if they should except her or not. From then on as an apprentice, she learned to heal cats from Frostleaf. She learned all of the herbs, poultices, and healing methods. Soon it was time for her to become a warrior.
They were on a trip to Glowing Cave, as usual. Crowpaw had been in training for quite some time now. it seemed she had mastered healing. When they finally got to Glowing Cave, Frostleaf stopped. "It is time." she whispered. "I, Frostleaf, medicine cat of RainbowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of the medicine cat, and with your help she will serve her Clan for many moons. Crowpaw, do you promise to uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at the cost of your life?" Crowpaw's eyes gleamed and her paws shivered with excitement as she said, "I do." "Then by the powers of DreamClan I give you your true name as a medicine cat. Crowpaw, from this moment on you will be known as Crowsong. DreamClan honors your loyalty and kindness." Frostleaf finished. She placed her muzzle on Crowsong's head, and Crowsong in return licked her shoulder. crowsong was finally a full-fledged medicine cat.

Roleplay Example: Crowsong was out looking for herbs, when suddenly, a snake lunged for her. Crowsong hissed at the snake and slowly backed away, waiting for a moment that she could run. Foxpaw suddenly burst out of the bushes, snarling at the red and yellow snake. He tried to scratch, but instead, got bit by the snake. Crowsong rushed over to him, and dragged him by his scruff to her den. That snake was a poisonous one; she'd seen it before. She grabbed some yarrow from her supply and gave it to Foxpaw. "Eat this. I t will make you throw up the poison in your stomach." she mewed. Then she got some snakeroot. "This counters poison. Eat it, quick." Crowsong also got out some watermint. "Does your stomach hurt?" she asked him. He groaned. "Yes." "Okay. Eat this. It will ease the pain." she mewed sympathetically. Moments later, Foxpaw was sleeping in a small nest in her den. Daisypetal, Foxpaw's mother, raced in. "Is he okay?" she asked, sounding worried. "Don't worry, he's fine. He'll be back to training soon." Crowsong soothed. "He'll make a fine warrior. He has courage and loyalty; what every cat needs." "Thank you." Daisypetal dipped her head and left. "Don't worry, young one." Crowsong whispered. "Everything is all right."
