I'm sure you've all heard of this "Swine Flu" that's been going around. I just think I should be talking about it for no reason. First it started from Mexico, then got to US, and several reports have been found in Canada. So what started the swine flu? Actually... pigs did. Swine flu is actually a pig disease, but the chances of spreading it to humans is very little. And... well, it did.
If your parents or teachers haven't told you about how to prevent it, here's some tips. - Wash your hands before you eat, and after you used the bathroom - Cough/sneeze with your elbow, not your hands. - Do not make contact with your eyes/mouth after you've touched something dirty (eg. door handles in public spaces) with your hands. - Don't share food/drinks - Have fun (XD)
And remember, you can still eat pork (me love me porky :3), but just cook it before you eat. Let's hope none of us gets it. ^^

I was in NYC a week ago and didn't get it, so somehow I doubt it's a serious threat. Don't freak out over it- in fact, it took fourteen years for me to ever get the seasonal flu in the first place. XD And, unfortunately, cities and schools classify as crowded places.

Haha, swine flu....sorry, just it's treated like a joke at my school, though if someone gets it I'm sure the opinion will be turned around. So far there have only been three cases in Milwaukee, WI...and I live two hours north of there...
but thanks for the tips, I'll keep them in mind cause I don't want a pig disease!!!!!! XD

There's been a total of six outbreaks in Canada so far, I think. Three in BC, two in Newfoundland and one in Calgary, Alberta. But there's only been one at the moment, so I think we're safe, Dreamy =3
But yeah. I don't think that it's very contagious, and if you do all those things you probably won't get it.

That's only one of the subtype of Swine flu. But you're right, only the H1N1 subtype of swine flu can be transferred around by humans.
